وقالت الفتلاوي في مناظرة تلفزيونية بثها التلفزيون الحكومي، إن "علي العلاق ووليد الحلي وراء طبخ.. ومؤامرة" ازاحة المالكي وتكليف العبادي خلفا له.
وجدد المالكي مساء الاثنين رفضه للتنحي من منصبه واصفا تكليف العبادي لرئاسة الوزراء بانه "باطل ولا قيمة له".وجاء تكليف العبادي بعد قليل من إرسال الأحزاب الرئيسية في مجلس النواب العراقي خطابا للرئيس معصوم لترشح نائب رئيس مجلس النواب حيدر العبادي لتشكيل الحكومة.كما جاء قرار الرئيس العراقي بعد يوم من تهديد المالكي بمقاضاة معصوم أمام المحكمة الاتحادية العليا بعدما اتهمه بعدم احترام المهلة الموضوعة بشأن تكليف رئيس وزراء جديد تحقيقا لأهداف سياسية.
