• أكد السفير الروسي لدى الأمم المتحدة، فيتالي تشوركين، أن روسيا تؤيد إجراء تحقيقات لمعرفة المسؤولين عن سلسلة هجمات بغاز الكلور في سوريا، بدون أن يوضح آلية إجراء التحقيق، وكانت واشنطن اقترحت على شركائها في مجلس الأمن الدولي فتح تحقيق يتولاه خبراء تعينهم الأمم المتحدة لتحديد الجهة المسؤولة عن الهجمات بالأسلحة الكيميائية التي نسبتها دول غربية إلى نظام الأسد، وقال تشوركين على هامش اجتماع لمجلس الأمن الدولي حول استخدام أسلحة كيميائية في سوريا إنه يجب تحديد الأشخاص الذين يقفون وراء هذه الهجمات، وعلى سؤال حول مسألة التصويت على قرار في مجلس الأمن الدولي، قال تشوركين، إن ذلك قد يكون الحل الأفضل وعلينا مناقشته.
