قال رئيس الوزراء العراقي حيدر العبادي اليوم الأحد (31 أيار/ مايو 2015) إن العراق ليس طرفا في الصراع السعودي الإيراني وأن بلاده ليست بوابة لإيران، ولن تدخل في صراعات إقليمية بين البلدين. وقال العبادي في مقابلة مع قناة العراقية الرسمية "إذا كان الإخوة السعوديون يعتقدون أن العراق هو بوابة لإيران فهم مخطئون". وأضاف "العراق ليس بوابة لإيران ونحن لا نريد أن ندخل في صراعات إقليمية بين السعودية وإيران"، مشددا على أن بغداد "لا تحسب على هذا الصراع".
وتشارك إيران وهي ذات غالبية شيعية مثل العراق، والسعودية ذات الغالبية السنية في الصراع العسكري والسياسي من أجل النفوذ في بلدان الشرق الأوسط. وتوترت علاقات الرياض وبغداد لسنوات خلال عهد رئيس الوزراء العراقي السابق نوري المالكي (2006-2014) الذي اتهمته السعودية باعتماد سياسات إقصائية همشت السنة، بينما اتهمها هو بدعم "الإرهاب" في بلاده.

بيد أن علاقات البلدين شهدت تحسنا منذ تسلم العبادي مهماته خلفا للمالكي في أيلول/ سبتمبر الماضي. وزار الرئيس العراقي فؤاد معصوم السعودية في تشرين الثاني/ نوفمبر، في أول زيارة لمسؤول عراقي رفيع المستوى منذ أعوام طويلة للمملكة. وسمت السعودية سفيرا لها في العراق، بعد أن أعلنت في كانون الثاني/ يناير أنها ستعيد فتح سفارتها في بغداد، للمرة الأولى بعد 25 عاما.
وقال العبادي في هذا الإطار "هم (السعوديون) أرسلوا رسائل ايجابية لنا، فعّلوا سفارتهم، وجهزوا الموقع، والآن سموا سفيرا وتمت الموافقة من جانبنا (..) وننتظر قدوم هذا السفير وننتظر أن تكون هناك زيارة من الإخوة السعوديين، إلى العراق". وتابع "ليس لدينا شيء ضد السعودية ولم نعادِ، ولم نسمح لأحد أن ينطلق من الأراضي العراقية للإساءة إليهم".
يشار إلى أن بغداد ترتبط بعلاقات قوية مع جارتها إيران التي تقوم بدور رئيسي في المعركة ضد تنظيم "الدولة الإسلامية" (داعش) الذي استولى على مساحات شاسعة في شمال العراق وغربه. وزودت طهران العراق والفصائل الشيعية بالأسلحة.
غادر المبعوث الدولي إلى اليمن إسماعيل ولد الشيخ اليوم (الأحد) العاصمة صنعاء بعد زيارة استغرقت يومين التقى خلالها عدد من الأطراف اليمنية في العاصمة.
وقالت مصادر عاملة في مطار صنعاء الدولي إن المبعوث الدولي ولد الشيخ غادر المطار اليوم, بعد يومين من زيارته لليمن.
وخلال الزيارة التقى ولد الشيخ بعدد من ممثلي الأطراف اليمنية في العاصمة صنعاء منها حزب المؤتمر الشعبي العام.
ونقل موقع (المؤتمر نت) الناطق باسم حزب المؤتمر الشعبي العام, الذي يرأسه الرئيس اليمني السابق علي عبدالله صالح, ان الامين العام للمؤتمر للحزب عارف الزوكا ومعه الاستاذة فائقة السيد الامين العام المساعد للمؤتمر والأستاذ يحيى دويد عضو اللجنة العامة رئيس دائرة الشباب والطلاب التقوا امس بالسيد اسماعيل ولد الشيخ احمد مبعوث الامين العام للأمم المتحدة إلى اليمن.
ورحب الحزب بجهود الامم المتحدة الرامية إلى استئناف الحوار اليمني من خلال عقد مؤتمر جنيف.
وأكد حزب صالح على استعداد للمشاركة في المؤتمر والتعامل بإيجابية مع كل قرارات مجلس الأمن الدولي.
وكان ولد الشيخ وصل الجمعة الماضية إلى صنعاء، في ثاني زيارة له منذ تعينه بمنصبه، في 25 ابريل الماضي.
