وقالت وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية إن ظريف أجرى مكالمة هاتفية السبت مع مع نظيره العُماني يوسف بن علوي، تناولا خلالها التطورات الإقليمية، وعلى رأسها الأزمة في اليمن.
ونقل ظريف لنظيره العُماني "استعداد بلاده التام لتقديم كل المساعدة من أجل وقف العملية العسكرية على اليمن، وإجراء حوار بين كافة الأطراف في البلاد، وذلك في إطار خطة وقف إطلاق النار المكونة من أربعة بنود، والتي تقدمت بها الجهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية إلى الأمم المتحدة".
وفي وقت سابق السبت كشفت مصادر صحفية عن تحرك تقوم به الجزائر لإقناع السعودية بإعطاء فرصة لاختبار المبادرة الإيرانية لوقف المعارك في اليمن.
