رفضت أحزاب سياسية مختلفة في اليمن تأييد خطوات الحوثيين.
وقال حزب التجمع اليمني للإصلاح الذي يضم إسلاميين سنة وزعماء قبليين كبار يمثلون المعارضة الرئيسية في البلاد إن الإجراءات تصل إلى حد "انقلاب" من طرف واحد ودعا إلى الرجوع عنها.
كما عبر حزب المؤتمر الشعبي العام الحاكم السابق، بزعامة الرئيس السابق علي عبد الله صالح، عن "أسفه" في بيان رسمي. وقال الحزب إن ما حدث ينتهك خطة دولية للتحرك نحو الديمقراطية.
ورفض عدد من الحكام في محافظات جنوب اليمن المضطرب، في بيان مشترك، سيطرة الحوثيين.
وقد أعلن الحوثيون يوم السبت تشكيل لجنة أمنية عليا لإدارة شؤون البلاد حتى تشكيل المجلس الرئاسي، تضم وزراء سابقين لضمان سيطرتهم على البلاد بعد إعلانهم حل البرلمان وإنشاء مجلس رئاسي.
من جانبه قال زعيم الحوثيين إن يده ممدوة لكل القوى السياسية للشراكة. وقال عبد الملك الحوثي في كلمة عبر التلفزيون "اليد ممدودة لكل القوى السياسية في هذا البلد... لكل المكونات لكل التيارات. القلوب مفتوحة والأيدي ممدودة وبالإمكان أن يتكاتف الجميع بدلا من أن يتصارعوا." وأضاف "المجال مفتوح للشراكة .. للتعاون .. للتآخي، لأن يتحمل الجميع مسؤوليتهم في البناء وليس الهدم، في خدمة هذا الشعب".
وأضاف "نقول لكافة القوى السياسية إنه لا داعي لإثارة أي مشاكل تجاه هذه الخطوة التي قمنا بها، وعليهم التوجه نحو شراكة حقيقية وإذا أرادت هذه القوى أن تقصي نفسها فهي تتحمل المسؤولية تجاه كل ما يفعلونه لعرقلة مسار الثورة".
وحذر الحوثي من تآمر الدول الخارجية على اليمن وقال إن الدول المجاورة لليمن، وعلى رأسها المملكة العربية السعودية، ستكتوي بنار القاعدة إن تمكنت القاعدة من الانتشار في اليمن.
وأثار انعدام الاستقرار في اليمن مخاوف دولية، إذ أنه يشترك في حدود طويلة مع السعودية -أكبر مصدر للنفط في العالم. فيما تحارب البلاد أيضا أخطر أجنحة تنظيم القاعدة بمساعدة هجمات بطائرات أمريكية بدون طيار.
وكانت دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي قد نددت بما أسمته "انقلاب" الحوثيين في اليمن الذين قاموا بحل البرلمان وأسسوا مجلسا رئاسيا يتولى إدارة شؤون البلاد. وقال المجلس في بيان نشر في مقره بالرياض يوم السبت (السابع من شباط/ فبراير) إن "هذا الانقلاب الحوثي تصعيد خطير مرفوض ولا يمكن قبوله بأي حال، ويتناقض بشكل صارخ مع نهج التعددية والتعايش الذي عرف به المجتمع اليمني، ويعرض أمن اليمن واستقراره وسيادته ووحدته للخطر".
وأكدت دول مجلس التعاون (السعودية والبحرين والإمارات والكويت وسلطنة عمان وقطر) أن "ما يهدد أمن اليمن وسلامة شعبه يعد تهديدا لأمنها ولأمن المنطقة واستقراراها ومصالح شعوبها وتهديدا للأمن والسلم الدولي، وسوف تتخذ دول المجلس كافة الإجراءات الضرورية لحماية مصالحها". كما حذرت من أن "انقلاب الحوثيين لن يقود إلا إلى مزيد من العنف والصراع الدامي في هذا البلد الشقيق"، وناشدت "المجتمع الدولي إلى تحمل مسؤولياته لإدانة هذا الانقلاب وشجبه وعدم الاعتراف بتبعاته".
