وكان مستشار المرشد الأعلى والأمين العام للمجمع العالمي للصحوة الإسلامية، علي أكبر ولايتي، قد قال إن "إيران تدعم الحوثيين في اليمن، وتعتبر هذه الحركة أنها جزء من الحركات الناجحة للصحوة الإسلامية".
